To find the serial number on your Mac:

MacOS 10.10 and later:

  1. Click the Apple in the upper left
  2. Click About this Mac
  3. Look for the line reading "serial number"

MacOS 10.9 and earlier:

  1. Click the Apple in the upper left
  2. Click About this Mac
  3. Click on the grey text, "Version 10.X" twice. The serial number will be displayed.
