Your computer has recently been replaced through the Computer Renewal Program for full-time faculty and staff.  The standard university software applications and any additional non-standard licensed applications that you requested have already been installed along with selected files and settings from your previous PC.

This computer has been recently replaced or reconfigured through the Computer Renewal Program and your files, university standard applications, and any non-standard university licensed applications that you requested should already be installed.


Please log into your PC to complete the '''ACTION ITEMS''' listed below and contact the Help Desk at extension x'''4357''' if you have any questions regarding the installation.

All your previous PC’s files and settings have been backed up to a network drive and can be restored by our staff, however, if you have been saving files to your U:\ drive (which is also your K:\User Folders\<name> directory), then you will have immediate access to them through that directory.

In addition, your Microsoft Office applications have been upgraded to Microsoft Office 2010While there are minimal changes between Office 2007 and Office 2010, questions can be directed to the Help Desk.  
All computer equipment returned to the Computer Renewal Program receives a full data wipe after backup of the hard drive is confirmedThe equipment is then evaluated by our technicians, and if it can be reused, is sent to our central inventory.  All other computing equipment is sent to a disposal company which will erase the hard drives again and send us certification that all data has been destroyed.
