Most Windows computers at William Paterson University are managed with Microsoft SCCM. To ensure changes to power management are retained over time, follow the below steps.

  1. Click the Windows button in the lower left > Search "Software Center" (Alternatively located in All Programs > Microsoft System Center 2012 > Configuration Manager > Software Center)
  2. Click on the Options tab
  3. Expand Power Management
  4. Place a check mark next to "Do not apply power settings from my IT department to this computer"
