Save your SID file or files.
JMP Pro by SAS is a software package used for statistical analysis.


We recommend you save each attached SID file to a location you can easily reference.


Start your JMP Software.
In order to download and use the software, users can go to [http://www.jmp.com/student www.jmp.com/student] and create an account.  Purchase a free subscription to JMP Student Edition and you will have the opportunity to download JMP.


Double-click your desktop icon or use your Start menu.
If you require assistance installing the software on a university owned and managed computer, please contact the Help Desk and one of our techs will be able to assist you.
 
Apply your SAS installation data file (SID file) to renew your JMP Software. Please note the SID license files are different for the Windows and Mac installations.
 
If your JMP license is past your expiration date, the first screen you see at JMP launch is a message that your JMP license is expired.
a. Click Open License.
b. At the prompt, navigate to where you saved the SID file in Step 1.
c. Click Open.
d. Enter an Administrator Name and Department if you desire.
e. Click OK.
 
If your JMP license has not expired, you must start the renewal process manually.
a. From the File menu, select New > Script to open a script window.
b. Enter this line: renew license();
c. From the Edit menu, select Run Script.
d. In the resulting Renew Your JMP License window, click Open License.
e. At the prompt, navigate to where you saved the SID file in Step 1.
f. Click Open.
g. Enter an Administrator Name and Department if you desire.
h. Click OK.
